Blue Water Highway runs just outside of Freeport up towards Galveston along the Texas Gulf Coast. This is the part of the world where the cultures of Texas and Louisiana collide in a unique melting pot steeped in the traditions of the people of both states. It is here, in the town of Lake Jackson, TX, that Zack Kibodeaux and Greg Essington became high school friends after Zack witnessed Greg playing Billy Joel's "Piano Man," and immediately enrolled in piano lessons himself. Their partnership included performing in musicals and local coffee shops, until the friends went their separate ways after high school. Greg headed to New York City to pursue a degree in music technology. Zack went to Texas State in San Marcos to study vocal performance, specifically opera. Soon, Zack was writing songs and sending them to his friend in New York. Finally, he coaxed Greg back to Texas to form the band he had been hearing in his head. Although they had landed in their adopted hometown of San Marcos, when it came time to name the band the first thing that came to mind was the landmark back home on the coast. The two dubbed the band, Blue Water Highway Band, and began to create a sound as unique as the region they came from.
Finding the right group of people to complete the band came with its own set of challenges. Zack turned to Catherine Clark, a fellow opera singer, to complete the three part harmonies that the band would soon to be known for. Kyle James Smith was enlisted as the bassist and Zach Landreneau joined on keyboards, lap steel, guitar, accordion, and pretty much any other instrument you can think of. The band released a self-titled, six song, EP in 2013 and then followed that up with the full length LP “Things We Carry” in 2015. This album featured the single “Medicine Man” that quickly became the closing song in an increasingly popular live show.
The band began touring across the United States in 2015 and continue to define themselves as a live act built on excellent musicianship, great songs, and that signature three part harmony that sets the band apart from their peers. They continue to explore new sounds and musical landscapes while remaining true to their roots along the Blue Water Highway.

About The Sweet 16 Tour- 2017
Sixteen years ago, Aurelio Voltaire performed with Bella Morte for the first time at an event called Masquerade 3 in Pittsburgh, PA (with another band they remain friends with, The Cruxshadows). Since then the two touring bands have crossed paths scores of times and played many shows together. More importantly, they’ve remained the best of friends and collaborate on each other’s projects. Aurelio Voltaire has written the forward in Andy Deane’s books and Deane has played keyboards on Voltaire’s albums. After sixteen years of friendship and spooky comradery, both bands are still going strong! And since each have new albums on the immediate horizon, the friends decided to take to the road together for a full US tour. Two of the things Deane and Voltaire share is that they are among some of the happiest and friendliest spooky dudes you could ever hope to meet. They look forward to sharing their dark but uplifting songs with fans across the country as they celebrate 16 years of friendship, touring and dark music!

CHURCH OF DRUM AND BASS PRESENTS:
Banging the bass and getting heavy mental with it!
E-SASSIN - SOUND SPHERE | MOVING SHADOW | RENEGADE HARDWARE | FORMATION | LA, USA
Eric Hull, a.k.a. E-Sassin, is a native of Los Angeles with a far-reaching background in many different styles of music, beginning in the late ‘70s. Playing drums in progressive rock and jazz/fusion bands and then moving through the heavy metal scene of the ‘80s, Eric was eventually introduced to the electronic dance music scene in 1989 through the techno/ rave culture. Once he started producing dance music, E-Sassin was born and everything started to fall into place. He continues to build on his reputation as one of the top DJ/ Producers of drum and bass in America.
In 1992 E-Sassin produced and self-released a techno album, which got the attention of Sunshine Records. They approached E-Sassin to work with the groups L.A. Rave and The Movement. For a year and a half E-Sassin toured with The Movement all over the world. It was during this time that he was first exposed to jungle, which was just breaking away from the breakbeat hardcore scene. By 1996, E-Sassin had made the transition into producing only drum and bass tracks. Drum and bass music wasn’t widely accepted in the States and very few domestic labels were releasing any of it, so E-Sassin founded Sound Sphere Recordings late in ’96 to get his musical productions out to the masses. Sound Sphere was one of the pioneering labels for drum & bass in America, especially the west coast with the first two releases receiving very positive feedback and quickly establishing a high level of credibility for the label and for E-Sassin’s productions. Each subsequent release has continued to elevate Sound Sphere to new heights, which in turn has gained the label well earned respect from artists and DJs across America and throughout the rest of the world. Many of Sound Sphere Recordings’ releases have appeared on high-profile compilations both nationally and internationally.
Over the years, E-Sassin has continued to build a strong following in the drum and bass scene with his top-notch productions, remixes and DJing. He has worked with, or done work for a myriad of artists including, Gridlok, Hive, the Phunckateck Crew, R.A.W., AK1200, 60 Channels, The Angel, Dom & Roland, Raiden, DJ SS and Dieselboy, among others. His work has been featured on both international and domestic labels including his own, Sound Sphere Recordings, as well as Phunckateck Communications, Pneuma, Thermal, Titanium, Formation and Moving Shadow. E-Sassin also has a host of remix work with various labels and artists including, Palm Pictures, Human Imprint, Compound, Wax Tooth, World Domination, Priority, TerraFormat, SupaCrucial, Black Hoe, Renegade Hardware, Formation and Moving Shadow.
